| | LCD screen flicker on camcorder by
M
Hi,
I've just bought a Sony TRV22 MiniDV camcorder. It's got one of
those touch sensitive LCD screens. I noticed immediately that
there is a small amount of flicker on the LCD menu buttons (mostly
noticable when I am shooting a dark scene).
The Video display looks fine, only the menu buttons and indicators
on the LCD screen seem to be affected.

Anyone know where's a good place to get one. I see PlanetPC have them for

return no hits.
TIA.

| | Help/advice please - Sony TRV33E tape mechanism jammed open by
David G
Have had a TRV33E for 1 year now. Switching tapes over yesterday, the
battery ran out as the new tape was being loaded. The mechanism made
it far enough to open the DV tape flap but the tape has not been
engaged.
Even after reconnecting power and recharging the battery the mechanism
does not engage when the power switch is turned on. All that happens
is the screen flashes for a moment and the...

I did quite a bit of work on this for a project a few years back and
you're quite right. Thickness of material used is also critical, the
thinner the better to avoid internal reflections. But the most important
factor is the actual size of the pinhole in relation to the "focal

| | neroexpress bug? by
Mike Scott
I've been trying out neroexpress (current version from the ahead web
site), and it seems to have a problem with one particular mpg file,
and gives up part through the transcoding phase. I've added the
relevant part of the log file at the end on the offchance anyone else
can make something of it.
I've put several videos onto dvd successfully; but it's just this one
one particular piece of...

Hi,
It's not a commercial, I even didn't try it, just found this announce. I
heard a few questions here about conversion, maybe this device is not so bad
to do that.

| | Capturing back off a DVD by
Paul
Hi Group,
My apologies if this has been posted before, I tried searching but could not
find anything. I have taken a lot of home movies and burnt them to DVD. Is
it possible to re-capture them back again into my editing program - (I am
using Pinnacle Studio V.8), or via a seperate bit of software?
I have tried the obvious, trying to load them from within Pinnacle but it
did not recognise the...

| | Audio channel on Video DVD by
Just D
Hi All,
A couple of weeks ago we were speaking about audio channels, total stream
width for video DVD, including audio + video, etc. I see that Nero has only
2 choices for audio when we create a video DVD -
1) Dolby Digital (AC-3) 2.0
2) LPCM
I understand that LPCM should be used for audio DVDs only and Dolby Digital

| | Transferring video from camcorder to PC by
Coren
Hey all,
I just got myself a DV-camcorder, and I'm trying to find out how I can copy
the video to my PC for editing and/or converting.
The camcorder is a Sony DCR-PC4E and I've got a reasonably new PC with WinXP
running. I've asked the guy at the computer store for advice, he said I
should check if I have FireWire ports. I checked, I don't think I have any,
but I'm not sure because I've never...

Mike Scott
I've just been making my first attempts at creating a dvd. I have
mpeg files produced by editstudio, and have loaded up the latest demo
version of nero.
Fundamentally, all seems well, and "sensible-looking" menus appear as
designed. So I've managed to create a dvd with 4 videos on it, each
with a chapter submenu (if my terminology is correct :-).
However, the dvd doesn't stop after playing a...

Does anybody know if it's possible to add the same transition effect between

images...))) and IPIV-3200 it's nonsense to do it manually!
