Danny Boy wannabe (C)rap man by sandy58
Did you actually waste time writing this **** or just plagiarise it? (also a total waste of time) A tad repetitive, taking poetic license a stretch too far, mind-set on bullets (penile extension syndrome perhaps?) wannabe suicide, be my guest, Daniel. (Thank **** he ain't MY bro'!)

Rotating video by Wallace
I want to rotate some video with shareware software. I presently use Virtualdub, which works fine but the file size is absolutely HUGE. So my question is: 1) Is there a way to prevent the file size being so large in Virtualdub? 2) Failing that, does anyone know of any freeware or relatively inexpensive software that will do the job? Thanks.

Rendering MPG to DVD VOB using Pinnacle Studio 10 - how long? by Mortimer
I've jsut bought myself a Dazzle Hybrid Analogue/Digital Decoder and it comes with Pinnacle Studio 10 SmartStart. I've been experimenting with recording a programme and then editing out the commercials. But the time taken to render the finished project is very slow: a 45-minute project has taken about 2 hours and it's still not quite finished. It's the "Processing frame m of n" stage which...

rescue video from SD card by tg
using the USB cable, sometimes the transfer of video from my Canon camcorder (SD card) to my PC won't work, I get an error message and the video will not download. I've tried a different cable but no joy. I've also tried a usb SD card reader but that won't work either, and yet the video plays fine in the camera playback. So I'd be grateful to hear from anyone with experience of this problem. Is...

timelapse by G Hardy
You can't with MiniDV - not easily, at least. They don't have single-frame record & advance. Your best bet is to find a cheap* Nikon** DSC and a cheap* PC, and control the former using the latter (running Krinnikam) and a USB cable. Depending on the selected image resolution, you can set the timelapse as low as 1.5 seconds. Then you bring your list of frames into your favourite mid-range...

Preventing burn-in subtitles being recorded on Pinnacle TV Centre Pro by Mortimer
I've just bought a Dazzle Hybrid Pro Stick (330e) which comes with Pinnacle TV Centre Pro software (V 4.70.1426 - no newer update available). This has an annoying habit of sometimes recording subtitles burn-into the MPG file, even though the option is turned off in the app. There's nothing in the Settings page which configures whether or not subtitles are to be burnt-in. I can't work out...

Web host for stand alone audio files. by Ivan
Does anyone know if there is a free service similar to Picasa 2 for uploading stand alone audio (mp3) files with a circa 50 MB space allocation and also has similar 'listed' and 'unlisted' options to Picasa. I have checked on google and there are a number of sites offering free options, but I would rather be pointed in the right direction to one of them by an existing and satisfied user if...

Best Vegas rendering platform by Smarty
Intel's offerings in high performance processor / motherboards has 2 somewhat comparably priced alternatives, the "Clovertown" 5365 which is used in 8 core Xeon 3.0 GHz versions in such products as the MacPro, and also the "Conroe" 6850 CoreDuo Extreme Quad Core which companies like HP, Dell, and others are / will be offering. I am wondering if there is any reason to prefer one versus the...

Petition the Prime Minister to cause pre-screening of video material intended for websites.
