Have just made first recording and working out how to download to PC. There doesn't seem to be anything in the manual on how to do this.

Advice required as to a good internal DVD re-writer, Write compatibility is essential but given the immaturity of dual layer this is not a requirement. I downloaded and installed the trial of winmpg 5.6, tried to convert an avi to mpg and I got thick green vertical lines on the mpg playback. anyone know why this happens? is it a limitation in the trial version? I did read somewhere on the net that some folk were not satisfied with the final quality that 3.0 produces. I didn't take too much notice as they wanted more money to trade up from plus 2.5. However, I am very happy with plus 2.5. Highly recommended and well worth the money. John D

Hi! The prices for DVD±RW Recorders now seem to be pretty low and I am thinking of adding one to my computer. I know that the burning speeds are still pretty poor at 16x and only 4x for +RW/-RW re-writing and DVD+R DL Double Layer burning, however that is okay to make do with for a year or so until the speeds increase. I can always leave my system working while I have a bath or watch TV.

I know there are several DV drivers out there for using the DV from a camcorder or such in webcam software, but I'd like to find a driver without the 'activation' bull**** that so many software companies are now using. This activation thing limits the driver to one computer which is a real **** off. I don't mind paying for a driver but does anyone know of a DV driver that doesn't need activation?

Looking at buying a Canon Pixma IP4000, and am particularly interested in quality of photo print, CD/DVD printing, and how good/useful the bottom tray is for loading A4 paper, as where I have intend to place the printer using a top loader would be difficult. Hi, for some reason, any footage i download from the internet appears to have frames missing, and plays back flickering with black frames. If i play the clips in vlc player though the play back is fine. Also, clips i have captured myself via firewire are fine... any ideas?
