Camcorder in a go cart by Muxton
I'm looking for bright ideas on how to mount a camcorder on a go cart to get a steady shot of a lap of the track under race conditions. A DIY counterbalanced steadycam is one consideration, anybody have any other suggestions, or similar practical experience? Jake

Tape error problems with Canon XL1s by Headrush Films UK
my XL1s has developed a problem when I put a tape in the camera that is not at the end of the tape I get a error eject tape, this seems to be a common problem on Canon cameras but no one seems to say what the cure is I have cleaned the heads and whilst this has made a very slight difference it certainly does not cure the problem, which seems to get worse when the camera get hotter, I don't...

Disappeared Title by Jim
I edited a 5 minute programme on Premiere Pro and rendered it to an AVI file before transcoding and burning to DVD with Encore. All played fine in the AVI file but in DVD one of the titles was missing. When played back the title's space was filled with a static first frame from the following clip which then played when the title's time had elapsed. Can anyone help please? Thanks, Jim E-Mail:...

Prem Elements Trial by spamfrog
I have been using the trial version of Premiere Elements, doing what I want to do with it and comparing it to Pinnacle 9 se which was pre installed on my PC. I was very happy that I could import wma files to use as soundtracks as this is what I rip my CD's to as a rule. I was VERY disappointed to find that the imported wma files are corrupted. I have gone back to Windows media player and...

Buying a miniDV VTR. by Geotronix
Hi. I would like to buy a miniDV VTR like the JVC SR-VS30E or the JVC SR-DVM70 video recorders but I'm wondering if it's really worth it. They are rather expensive ... Are there other brands that offer similar products at lower costs? I'm not rather keen on the double deck system. A single deck miniDV would be great. Regards.

Scene Analyser by Olympiad
Hi, A while ago on here (possibly over a year, maybe even two) someone recommended a tool that would analyse and split a DV file into scenes based on either timecode and /or frame content. Anyone any recollection of what this was or even some suggestions for alternative tools (ideally cheap or shareware)? As background, I'm currently having a play around with quite a few trial

Black and white video to composite input? by D.M. Procida
A client has Miglia Director's Cut Take 2 - which can't take black and white video (from a CCTV). There's an adaptor available from Miglia, which I guess just converts the signal to composite or something similar, but is there something else they could use that they could get their hands on in a hurry (e.g. from Maplin)? I don't even know what the official name for these things is. Daniele --...

Advice with SP2 by Bob Edwards
I have just purchased an additional 160G ATA internal hard drive for capturing AV files onto. I was told by the nice man in PC World that I would need SP2 (I don't have SP1 installed) in order for my PC to operate the new drive. He did give me an SP2 CD but I have read a few horror stories about SP2 so I was wondering - was he right? Do I need it? Thanks in anticipation Bob ---
