| | DVD Playback - Cropped Menu & Video by
Hywel Jenkins
I'm mucking about with the demo of DVD Lab, trying to get 16:9 output
from ES4.1.4 on to disc. That I can do, to an extent.
I've set up the menu, linked it all together, and compiled the DVD,
which plays correctly on my PC with WinDVD6. The VOBs also play
correctly with BSPlayer. When I burn the DVD it plays correctly in my PC
under WinDVD, but on the TV both the menus and the video are...

| | Mini Dv Question? by
JimboSlim
Hi Dvers
Simple Question Are all mini DV tapes compatible with each other?
I had my Sony TRV50E Mini DV stolen in Barcelona.
I now have the Insurance money.
Do I have to buy a Sony to make sure my old Sony recorded Mini DV tapes
still work.

| | Exporting a (JPG) still from VirtualDub by
Neil Smith [MVP Digital Media]
More or less : Open video file, find desired frame. Hit Ctrl+1 (or
menu : Video - Copy source frame to clipboard)
Paste into for further editing
(which you'll almost certainly have to do) and then Save-As JPEG from
your art package.
Cheers - Neil

| | Recording from cameras to DVD recorder? by
Ian S R Smith
Hi folks,
I'm in the process of setting up an Endless Pool for commercial use (swim
coaching). I plan to use three cameras to record customers as they swim -
two underwater and one overhead.
I want the cameras to feed into a DVD recorder so that (a) their efforts can
be recorded in real time,
(b) I can immediately play back to them (either on a large screen TV or
projecting onto a white...

| | Temporary rendering file location in Sony Vegas 5 by
Laz
Hi,
A friend of mine is using vegas 5 for editing his DV tapes. He is capturing
the video, editing and then (hopefully!) printing back to DV tape.
He has a problem: during the print to tape step, vegas creates a large
pre-render file under C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application
Data\Sony\Vegas\5\ (or something like that). Unfortunately, he does not
have much space on his C partition and it...

| | Rotating MPEGs by
Rusty
I am now using Ulead MovieStudio 8.0 SE DVD to edit my movies, but I
can't seem to find an option for rotating clips. My camera (digital
camera) gives me mpeg1 files (640x480 30fps).
Will I have to do the rotating in VirtualDub and at the same time
convert the files to .avi, or is there some other clever way of doing it?
Thanks for the help

| | Indexing DV-tapes by
Morten L.Pedersen
Hello!
I'm looking for an application (Windows XP + free) that can make indexes of
my DV digital video tapes.
The functionality I'm looking for is:
- Thumbnail-creation of each scene on the DV-tape with display of timestamp.
- Adding comments/keywords.
- Searching for comments/keywords for easily retrieval of video-clips.

| | Chipmunk Audio! by
ivan
Can anyone 'please' give me some sort of clue about what's going on with my
computer, today I've tried to make some DVD's using two different burning
programs, but everything recorded on to my HD via SVHS from a Freeview box
sounds like the chipmunks on playback.
This evening I logged onto Radio Seven to record my weekly fix of 'Journey
into Space' as an MP3, using Audiograbber ( I've done so...

| | EO Video problem - on conversion, ActiveVideo Window pops up & aborts conversion. What to do? by
Traveller
This is a new install of EO Video after an OS wipe/reinstall. EO
Video is displaying behaviour it never has before. On most AVI files
that I'm trying to convert to VCD, instead of starting the conversion
process, the convert Start button opens up the movie in an
"ActiveVideo Window" and after a few seconds the conversion is
automatically aborted. I've looked everywhere in the help file and
did...

| | Womble Mpeg2VCR by
Chris Croughton
This software sounds good, but I downloaded it and installed and it asks
for a key. Since the site asked for an email address before I
downloaded (and that forms part of the filename) I assume that something
is supposed to send me an evaluation key, but I haven't received it.
I've sent them a message (copied to the same address, and that arrived)
but no reply as yet.
Has anyone else dealt with...

a respectable level) the audio, then...

| | Fooling HDMI + HDCP player into removing HDCP by
Alan Truelove
I have a HDMI + HDCP DVD player (Pioneer DVR-920H to be exact), but only a
DVI-D plasma screen. The DVD player refuses to play thru the HDMI output
because the plasma does not accept HDCP.
Does anybody know if there is a gadget on the market to fool the DVD
player's output into thinking that my plasma is HDCP compatible, thereby
letting me watch via the HDMI output?? (Is it likely that...

| | Studio 9 DVD burning problems by
John Barnfield
Can anybody help me.
Studio 9 gets all the way to the stage of DVD burning (on a Pioneer 105),
starts (leaving a sign of burning on the disk) and then fails almost strait
away.
Any comments on what might be wrong or ways round it would be appreciated.
Thanks.
