Infrared channel changers for digibox? by pike_by_nature@hotmail.com
Hi; Not quite as simple as it sounds; I'm looking for a device that will let me record something on ITV Meridian, while I'm a "Granada" address. Usually, I'll just do it manually; but in a few weeks time I'm going to be away, so I want some way of getting the digibox to press the tv guide button, then select "other channels", then go down two spaces and select Meridian; and half an hour later,...

3CCD vs 1CCD? by Andy Turner
Is there an article anywhere that might explain to me the likely improvements one would expect from a 3CCD camera? Are they better at low-light situations perhaps, or is it just down to quality? Thanks! andyt

S-VHS - B&W by DG
This may habe been done to death previously, in which case I apologise. Can anyone please explain where I am going wrong with this? When I connect my VHS video recorder via scart using R&W audio & S-VHS leads to my camcrder, the signal is recorded in black & white? If I substitute the S-VHS for yellow video cable, no problem - full colour. Any help is appreciated.

Transfering Analogue Video Panasonic E95 DVD Web? by CJB
Transfering Analogue Video Panasonic E95 DVD Web ? Please can someone advise me. My ultimate goal is to upload analogue video footage onto a web server. Right now I have a Panasonic E95 which I have used to capture the analogue footage and convert it to digital using SP mode. I have edited and burnt this footage onto a finalised DVD-R disk and also onto a DVD-RAM disk.

I have noticed many dvd recorders with internal hard disks specify that they have "progressive scan" . My question: is this good or bad, what do I use it for?

Panasonic NVGS75B or Sony DCR-HC39E? by billy whizz
I am looking for a digital camcorder and like the look of both the Panasonic NVGS75B and Sony DCR-HC39E. Can you tell the difference with the 3CCD feature of the Panasonic or does the sony's features have the edge? I am not planning on doing anything too fancy with the camcorder, just some family stuff, probably mostly exterior shots with a few interior shots. I will be downloading to pc...

"Apparently Panasonic have a program called dvd-moviealbum-se which allows editing of dvd-ram disks in a suitable pc-drive and then copying final file to harddrive on pc as a mpeg file. Does anyone know anything about this and where to get it from." Cheers - Chris Brady.

Would anybody care to comment on what would be the most suitable naming for the newsgroup so it would appeal to digital camera owners . I think...

Program to create movies from stills by corlioni1976
Hi All Anyone know of a program that will convert digital time laps stills (JPEG) to a movie format (avi, mpeg etc..) without loosing the quality or reduction of picture size. The program I have at the moment only allows up to 200 photos at a time ( I have 850 in total) and it reduces the image size by a quarter. Can anyone suggest a free program that I can download and use without too much...
