Panasonic NV-GS150EB by DG
Any one got an opinion re the Panasonic NV-GS150EB? Seems to get Ok reviews. Are there real advantages with 3ccd at this price (circa £500)? Are there better with 1ccd for the same price?

MPEG-2 or AVI DV? by DG
What are the benefits of AVI DV over MPEG-2, if any? I am looking for a new camcorder and see that MPEG-2 format recordings are creeping in. Is there any particular reason? How about editing? Are there any practical differences in the two? Thanks. DG

Hardware MPEG encoding, which card by Ben Thomas
Hi all, I have been trying to turn my MiniDV home videos into DVDs but it takes many hours to encode the MPEG for the DVD on my AMD Athlon XP 2700+ with 512MB RAM and 7200RPM hard disk, using Ulead VideoStudio. It seems to take even longer to convert MPEG2 (captured from my digital TV card) into MPEG2 suitable for DVD. I'm guessing CPU is the main problem and there aren't many faster CPU...

Major headache.... by Mike
Hi, I am producing a DVD for a colleague. It will include a photoslideshow (motion pictures and background music), individual photos (to be used like an old fashioned projector show) and a number of video clips. Using Encore, ProShow Gold and Photoshop, I have successfully created the menus and all the picture elements of the project and am now starting work on the video elements. I though...

RECORDING VIDEO CLIPS FROM WEBSITES by lynn lucas
I've had pretty good success using Camtasia to accomplish this, but still certain video clips come out all black. I've tried disabling the hardware accelerator but that didn't help any. Is there a better program which will record ALL videos, or is there something else I can try which will work? Thanks in advance!! Lynn

I want to have a mini hub style thing somewhere out of the way and have everything running into that so that I can then break the tv signal out into different rooms (and use a device to...

Widescreen or not ? by lloydwatkins@metronet.co.uk
I have searched various groups and not really found an answer on whether to shoot and edit in 16:9 or not. I have a DV camcorder that has the ability to record in 16:9, 'Cinema' and 4:3 aspect ratios. (Panasonic NVGS150), ignoring whether this is the best camcorder or not, which is the best mode to shoot and edit in. I can handle wide-screen in edit (FCP4.5HD) and DVD Production (DVD Studio...
