Freeview EPG 1 or 2 weeks by Michael Chare
A little while ago I downloaded an over the air update to my STB which was supposed to provide a 14 day EPG. As I can only see 7/8 days worth of data I was wondering if data for 14 days is actually transmitted. -- Michael Chare

Cheap lighting? by CCE
I often film indoor events (public meetings, rallies etc.) using a 1 CCD budget camcorder (Panasonic NVDS28B). The camera often does surprising well with just the hall lights switched on fully. I always postion the camera as close as possible to the platform speakers. But sometimes the hall lighting is just not really bright enough--especially in very big halls. The thing is that I don't...

Sound Recording by Ian Smith
Hi Folks, I have a swimming studio equipped with video equipment that goes to a hard drive DVD recorder via a quad splitter. I want to be able to do voice over in real time so that when I burn a customer's footage for them they have my comments on the disc. What do I need? I'm thinking in terms of a head-set mic to some sort of amp, then line out from that to the audio line in of the DVD...

Hi, I have a HC42E and I'm over the moon with the options and quality etc. Just one prob when filming in very windy weather - the sound really gets distorted. I contacted Sony Customer services who suggested searching for the above - "Sound Mufler". There isn't such a thing. Any ideas?

Good fast tool for adjusting contrast/levels by Steve Franklin
I have some quicktime movies I want to boost the contrast/brightness on. I bought quicktime pro and then realised that it had no such tools on it. Can anyone recommend a good tool purely boost the contrast/brightness of a video? Premiere seems rubbish, I've seen a really good tool but now can't remember what it was....

Recording sky by Broadback
My trusty VCR has gone to that digital heaven in the sky. :-) So what now? Any recommendations as to what to replace it with? Something easy to operate preferably. What about a sky receiver and recorder in the same box? I would like to be able to record and watch a different channel at the same time. I understand I would need two lnbs on my mini dish, I suppose that means 2 leads down to...

Sony DCR-HC19E by Gaz
Hi, I'm about to buy my first camcorder (first baby on the way) and I'm strongly drawn towards the Sony DCR-HC19E as it seems to be the best available for the price range. Anyone got any strong opinions of the "yes, go for it" or "no, don't touch it" variety? Also, does it really shoot in 16:9? This isn't a big deal either way,
