master/slave by MrDancer
"DJ" wrote in message ... I have a dvd writer and a dvd rom. Does it matter which is master and which is slave? Thanks I temporarily have a LiteOn 52x CD-burner as my master, and a Pioneer DVR-105 as slave. I burn CDRs on the LiteOn and DVDs on the Pioneer equally well.

Any suggestions(apart from the obvious one) please. I have got an 8mm Sony digi DCR-TRV730E, worked fine when using Adobe, MGI VideowaveIII, Ulead etc etc, when I was using 98SE. I was talked(nagged) into upgrading the operating system to XP and the inevitable happened. Lost the use of many peripherals including the the Digicam, XP refuses to allow the dirvers etc to load. Finally after 3...

question re piracy/legality by Laurence Payne
If I have a film bought new on VHS in the early 90s, am I entitled to download a digital copy of it, for the higher quality, or do I have to pay for it again? (in which case forget it!) Download from where? Any file available for download isn't going to be better quality than the VHS. Anyway, you know the answer perfectly well. :-)

New Camcorder Reviews by Steve
Hi, I am considering buying a new camcorder and am a little lost with regard to which one to go for. I am a little sweet on the new Canon MV6iMC but as it is quite new I don't expect to see a magazine review for a while. can anyone suggest a good active Website that has reviews and comments from real users that I might find useful for some research. Thanks.........

DVCam recording to mini dv tape, Quality issue ? by Brad Gerrard
Hi, If I use a sony dcr vx9000e camera that uses DVcam tape to record something, then edit on pc, and print to mini dv tape, is the quality reduced by going to mini tape, rather than dvcam tape? In general is there a difference in quality between dvcam tape and mini dv tape? Thanks,

4:3 16:9 by Luke Harris
Hello, we will be shooting a film soon on 2 digital cameras; a panasonic DVCPro and a JVC miniDV. The problem is, the film is supposed to be in widescreen. Only our JVC supports widescreen so our initial plan is to use that in 16:9, with the other shooting 4:3, then simply crop the top and bottom off it. When the film renders out then from our Edit what we will get is a 4:3 frame with black bars...

Editing software advice. by Shockwave
Take the proffesionals advice, like I didn't and leave pinnacle on the shelf. I have never used such a bug ridden piece of junk as this ever before. This is true of studio 7 and 8,although 8 dosn't seem to mess things up as much, only in a different way! I refer to the bugs where scenes are left out, duplicated, titles not doing what you want, audio not real time, the list goes on.If you can...

rendering by Shockwave
I'm glad I'm not the only one with problems! All the pinnacle studio range seem to have major 'bugs' that screw up titles,add/remove/duplicate scenes at random, even though the timeline is correct. It may be worth noting that the pinnacle video codec is quite an efficiant one(unlike the rest of the software!),and probably not totally supported by adobe. The pinnacle express dvd compiler only works...
