Problems: Lecson DVD 1000/Disney by Paul D.Smith
Has anyone else had problems playing Disney DVDs in a Lecson DVD 1000? We have a copy of Snow White that shows this problem and always assumed that it was the DVD since other films seemed to play fine. This week we borrowed a copy of Sleeping Beauty from the local library and it shows exactly the same problem. The DVD loads and starts up and then runs through the ads., copyright etc. right up...

Strange result when recording over a previously-recorded tape with a Panasonic DV cam by Peter Skipworth
Hi all, I have a Panasonic DV-30 camera, and recently recorded over an old recording I'd made, since I didn't want what was already on the tape. Previously I've only used blank tapes, so perhaps that explains the result I've encountered... Basically, on reviewing the recording I see the OLD content of the tape with the new content laid over the top - but interlaced horizontally with about 80...

Sony TRV33 vs TRV22 by Juan Lauda
"Oliver" wrote in message ... I have read all the reviews about the two models. It seems most people are the owners of TRV22. Does anybody actually have TRV33? Do you like it? If you already have digital camera, there is no point to buy TRV33 over TRV22? I have ordered one TRV33 from Jessops (£610) but we can get...

raid? by Young
Hi, I am a newcomer to dv editing and audio. I urgently need to edit a short film for a show in Aug and need to setup a make-shift pc for editing as I can't afford the computer I want just yet, and will do this mostly from the bits and pieces I have kicking about. I have a pinnacle studio DV capture card a geforce 2 MX400 AGP card

Problem with firewire capture audio crackle by Zippy
I have had my camcorder repaired and all seemed fine until I went to capture some footage. The audio is very poor, slightly distorted with the occasional 'static' pop and crackle at random points. The static is not on the tape doesn't tend to appear at the same point twice. Since the camera has just come back it is prime suspect but I expect to have difficulty pinning anything on anyone due to...

Standby mode on TRV33 by patnpm@doctors.org.uk
Is there any automatic power off mode on the TRV33? I keep forgetting to turn the camcorder off and then find the battery run down. My old Sony Hi8 powered off automatically after 5 minutes of non use. There must be a setting somewhere on the machine - but I can't find anything in the manual. Alternatively is there a TRV33 specific forum I can ask in? Thanks

New Camcorder - is mine a lemon?? by Geoff
Thanks for all the replies. My wife kinda made my mind up for me, and we got a MV6i MC from Jessops. I have to say that my first impressions are NOT GOOD. It won't hold its focus, it wanders out of focus as you pan the camera and it can't stay in focus when you zoom. I've switched the digital zoom off and I'm only using the optical but the screen goes blurred no matter how slowly you zoom in...

Panasonic NV DS35 fault codes? by Steve
Hi, Does anyone know what the fault code F5 is on a Panasonic NV-DS35 camcorder? A friend of mine has one and it's just come up with that code today. Is there anywhere I could look at for documented fault codes? TIA Steve.

"David Williams" wrote in message ... I am trying to put a 30 sec Video on a web site. How big (X * Y pixels) are you trying to make the video? I have it in AVI form which is 8MB but was told I should have it in MPEG which turned out to be 11MB so surely this can't be right.

Anyone remember seperates? by Martin Imber
Anyone else remember seperates - camera, recorder, charger ect? I have a worn out Sony 4000P camera and a still working SLF1UB which was lightweight when I bought it but now weighs a ton. However the 35lux camera was better than quite a few 5lux cameras in lowish light as it didn't drop colours (unlike a CCD Panasonic with vcr built in)

Copying 8mm films by Stephen Peterson
I have found my old super 8mm projector and I was wondering what is the best way to transfer old film to DV? I tried pointing the camera at a white card onto which I projected the image. But got a lot of flicker - I presume this is due to differences in the frame rate between camera and projector, I seem to remember that for 18fps film you should set the projector to something like 16fps for a...
