The maximum bitrate for a CD is around 3000 which is usually fine on a PC but from my personal experience with SVCD and DVD players if you take the combines bitrate over 2500 you risk stuttering in fast motion. For SVCD I used 2250 VBR For video and 128-224 for audio which gives good smooth results on most players.

I used XPs ability to take a picture from the DV. I then used virtualdub to join pics into an AVI. I think I had to convert the jpgs to BMPs. I did this by hand. At the moment we have a mono external microphone (with a battery) which records onto one track. I can't see a way in Studio 8 to duplicate it on to the other track. I have a small project that I would like to put onto a CDR in SVCD format in Studio 8. It involves an edited 9 minute 25 fps video clip, 30 jpeg photographs and a 3 minute 15 fps video clip (taken with a digital stills camera). Hi, i need some DV software to capture the whole Tape (1h) to 1 CD-ROM, i am using Vegas now to capture the Tapes, but the AVI needs lot of space!
