| | ulead videostudio export? by
jimmy
Hello there.
I've just started using Ulead ViseoStudio 7 and I don't know how to export a
project.
What I want to do is save it back to the camera
Once a project has been made in the time line, I can save it as a project. I
then select share, but the Export option is always greyed out!!! What's that
about then?
Does anyone know how to Export a project, preferably to DV-tape?
Thanks.

| | capturing NTSC video by
Stefaan Deputter
Who can help me ?
I'm trying to captured a NTSC video with the Pinnacle DVMoviebox on my PC in
DV NTSC format.
But my captured DV-avi file is black-white.
My videoplayer can play NTSC cassettes (a small switch at the rear side off
the player) and I put my presets in Adobe Premiere Pro as DV NTSC.
What do I wrong ?
Greetings

| | Storing DV by
Margaret Willmer
In the time that I have been watching this NG the recommendation has always
been to store Video on DV tapes as this is the best possible quality.
Now, I was telling that to a friend today and he commented that the tapes
could still be chewed up in a faulty camera and I suppose this might be
true. So what would be the best way to back up the DV tapes?
Just asking, we don't have anything much to...

| | New Models: Replacing JVC GR-DVX9 by
Ocean Tragic
I need to replace my JVC GR-DVX9 but haven't look at any of the current
models (any make) since I bought the DVX9
Does anyone have any ideas what current models (any make) would have similar
functions to the DVX9?
I use stills a lot, the DVX9 takes 1024x768 onto an MMC. I would be
interested in models that take better quality stills, e.g. 1024x768
The flash for stills is useful.
I like the...

| | Firewire PCI cards by
Dave R
I'm moving machines and the DV500 drivers (4.5) blew out XP... and I've
never seen the BSOD on XP before. Short of a miracle new driver and a
large cash incentive, I'm inclined to dump it and move on.
The card at Dabs, championed by Loz, is still up for £11, but seems to
have an in-determinate waiting list.
Next cheapest I can find is one from Novatech at £17.63...

| | newbie question by
Alastair Rainsbury
My new computer has come with a dvd-r burner, and ahead nero burning
software installed. I've been sent an .avi file by my uncle in Canada of
our new cousin, and I want to burn it onto a dvd for my mum to keep.
However, I don't know how to go about this. I think that I need to
convert the .avi file to *dvd format* before I can burn it as Nero says
it needs some file types which I've never...

| | OT(?): AVI video codecs - where to get best one to play all AVIs?? by
fitwell
Newbie here; biggest problem I,and probably a hundred others, run into
is that once you get one set of codecs to get an AVI to play, all the
previous AVIs that used to run no longer do. Latest file I'm in
process of dl is giving me one of those WMP 800 errors. I use WMPv6
and don't want to upgrade to v7, 8 or 9 as I've managed to eventually
get any AVI to play. Difference is that this time...

| | DVD burners by
Rich T
Hi
I have been making a few svcd output from premier to mpeg then burned using
vcd easy
Works great ! But quality is not so great and I would like to burn DVDs, but
fear I could spend a while choosing a dvd burner. I would be using this for
my edited home video, archiving and giving to family, so don't need the
fastest drive, just reliable
any recomendations of which drive has worked well for...

| | PAL Canon perfect, But NTSC is MUCH cheaper? by
MemImages
Hell all.
I need some advice.
I am interested in purchasing the Canon Elura 50 or Mv6iMC as it is known
here in Australia.
It retails here for around $1600 AU and the Elura 50 I can pick up in the
states for around $800AU. Half price.
I am travelling to the US to visit family shortly and would like to purchase
a camera for the trip.
My question is this.

| | Do all firewire cards support transfers from PC to camcorders? by
DaveA
I'm having trouble transferrring video back to my camcorder. I'm aware
there are lots of possible reasons but before I start narrowing it down I
have one simple question. The specification for the IEEE 1394 PCI Card I
bought recently (an DV 1000LE card made by InnoDV) says it features:
"Isochronous transfer support (guaranteed bandwidth) for DV video data
transfer from Camcorder to PC" but...

Mark S
Which is the best (affordable) piece of software to do the following:
- Download MiniDV from my Sony TRV25 on to my computer.
- Edit it and add titles etc
- Output the results to DVD (hopefully without loss of quality)
My PC came with ULEAD Video Studio 5 and Nero 5.... Can these be used ? If
so I would be most grateful if someone could guide me through the basic
steps (eg, what formats to...

| | Beginner's Question: Quality Loss by
John Hudson
I've just started with a Canon MV600i, working with my own tapes and stuff
digitised from VHS.
Whatever the format or source of the video being edited, I have a very basic
problem with Pinnacle Studio 8 SE.
If I use the capture facility, whether it's at DV Full Quality or MPEG, I
get a good picture with sharp resolution and no visible artifacts. I can
verify this by looking at the captured...

| | Which video card to buy? by
Peps
My Video card has packed up, so I need to replace it in a recent Pentium
4/2.4Ghz PC.
I am doing a lot of analogue video capture to DVD, currently using my DV
camcorder for A-D conversion, then using Tmpgenc to batch convert to MPEG2.
Does anyone have experience of using one of the new VIVO cards for
analogue capture? How does the realtime quality compare to offline?
Potentially it could...

| | prog scan to vga by
Tim Evans
Hi Guys
I have a prog scan DVD (KISS 508) with a progscan scart output. Anyone
have any ideas how I might be able to read this output on my Sony
Plasma's VGA port. I have seen converters but they all seem to be in the
£350 mark and the DVD was less than that.
Cheers

| | Editing with Studio 8, missing dates?? by
Jack
I'm doing my home video editing on Studio 8 and my problem is that the
finished and edited scenes are missing the original dates that can be seen
on the tapes, when viewed thru the camera or TV.
Where is the setting in Studio 8 that I'm missing?
