Cutting out by Dan
Is there a video editor which can cut a section out of the middle of a video clip - most are OK at trimming the ends to get the required start and finish points, but I want to remove a few frames from the middle of a video clip. dan.

What adapter to use in India for my british camcorder? by Rob Beattie
Hi, I will be travelling to India soon and am hoping to take my camcorder with me. I am not too sure about the electricity system over there and would like some advice about what type of adapter I would need. My camcorder is a sony and is a UK version. I have seen a few adapters in some stores but there appears to be one type for Europe, another for the US and yet another for Asia. Do...

Matrox RTX10 help by David Morris
I'm considering a Matrox RTX10 card for my system, as much as anything, to speed up the rendering process, but I suppose the realtime editing would be a boon. Also, it gets me an updated copy of Premiere. My question is as follows: I've seen somewhere that the RTX10 doesn't support hardware acceleration for MPEG-2 going to DVD. However, I've just gone through the video on the Matrox site and it...

Canon MV600i by Norm
Canon MV600i. Just bought one of these before Christmas (for my daughters first Christmas). I thought I did a pretty good research job before jumping in and buying it. I planned to use it mainly indoors. However as has been pointed out on here, the picture quailty indoors with seemingly adequate lighting conditions is appualing in my opinion. Really grainy, and low contrast. My sister has a...

Camcorder of the Year by Tony Morgan
The 'What Camcorder' magazine has just awarded the prestigious 'Camcorder of the Year' award to the Sony DCR-TRV60. Interestingly, last years award was made to the TRV50, and the preceding year to the TRV30 (which I own and still cannot fault). Personally, if I were replacing my TRV30, I'd be inclined to go for the TRV80, which (AFAICS) is the same as the TRV60 but with a larger LCD screen...

Capture problem (newbie) by Blobby
I am trying to capture (via firewire cardbus adapter) from a JVC GR-D31 camcorder. All works except that I cannot capture more than a few minutes of video - between 3 and 10 minutes (but have never got past that) when the software package seems to 'freeze', the camcorder keeps playing but all computer screen activity such as preview window, counters, etc just stop. I have tried various software...
