Hi yall. The problem is the movie in PAL-DV quality (the default WMM2 setting) takes 13Gb for 1 hour. I need to code it too take a third of that size to fit on DVD. Which software can do that? If I take the variable bit-rate coding that WMM2 offers the picture is way too choppy and the file size is drastically lower. I guess there has to be some middle ground.

Hi all, i'm going on holiday to amercica soon - was wondering what the best way is to charge my camera when i'm over there. I've got a Sony TRV-60 .....and its come with a "AC POWER ADAPTOR" which says "AC IN ~ 100 - 240V 50/60 Hz" So i'm guessing it will be ok to get a UK - US mains adapter, and plug it straight into this thing right?? Really? Ever managed to buy a disk pre-fomatted in NTFS? Again you seem blistfully unaware that cloning software is capable of partioning, indeed thats' what it's creating when it does a restore! Many use cloning software to transfer to a new virgin hardisk and don't call up any additional software to do it. It would appear you are not keeping up with the latest software tehcnology!

How can I copy a film in my digital camcorder to a DVD? Do I have to go through transferring the film to the computer, use Adobe Premiere (or Pinnacle) and then export the film to the DVD burner or can I somehow go directly from camera to DVD? Thanks for any help Fadel

I am capturing from and analogue signal and want to get the best possible quality. I am converting old VHS tapes to DVD. I believe that uncompressed AVI is the way to go, but the files are HUGE. I have 80Gb available , but this isn't nearly enough for a few hours. What other formats give good results but are not so memory hungry?

I am having troubel with Sony's software, when I view the tape via usb from my PC105E it will only fill a small section of the monitor screen. Any clues on how to increase the screen size, presently it is hardly worth watching.
