| | Camcorder exposure wrong by
housetrained
Hi,
my friend's camcorder has stopped exposing correctly. It is just always
overexposed and manual and auto has no effect.
Before I suggest a shop repair, can anyone offer an idea of what is wrong?
TIA

| | Can't download driver for Samsung VP-D70 camcorder. by
treenoakio@googlemail.com
Hi,
I've been trying to download the driver and software files for this VP-
D70 camcorder from the Samsung Gobal Download site. Every time I try,
the zip files are corrupted. I emailed support who said they'd
escalate the query but nothing came of it yet. I've tried getting
these files from Samsung by various web routes but always end up at
the same place, with the same effect. Can anyone suggest...

Just D
Does anybody know any program to convert FLV files into any acceptable
format to finally write Super Video CD, Video CD or DVD? My friend sent me a
link and I found a lot of interesting short clips that my wife as a
professional piano player can't afford. Take a look! This is just one of
many examples.

| | Display problem: comp to 29" tv through 15-pin to rgb cable by
amit.wanjari@gmail.com
Hi,
I am trying to connect a 29" color televison (CRT type) to my comp
with gigabyt m'board and geforce 6100 nforce 400 through 15-pin to rgb
cable. This shifts the display horizontally and distorts colors on the
tv screen while using the seemingly best combination -800X600 @ 60 Hz.
Can anyone help me out, please?

| | Connecting to DVD recorder by
Derek
Hi,
I've just bought a Lite-on DD-A110 DVD recorder to archive my Mini-DV
tapes onto DVD.
Would there be any difference in quality if I connect my Sony HC35E
camcorder via AV composite video, as opposed to connecting with a
firewire cable?
I've also read somewhere that not all Sony camcorders work with a

net
I'm thinking of getting a pocket camcorder and I'd appreciate any
experiences of the good and the bad. When I say pocket I mean small, say
the size of a cigarette packet or deck of cards, you know. Some cameras
calling themselves pocket camcorders are not true pocket size IMO. I've seen
a samsung camera, a canon camera and I was even considering an aiptek but I
don't know what they're like. I'm...

Moving on then....
Don't just look for a DSC with a built-in timelapse. You might also be able
to get one with an electronic cable release that does the same thing. My
Coolpix E5700 doesn't have the facility built-in, but adding a MC-E1U remote
release means you can take an unattended picture every two minutes.
Work backward from how long the projects is likely to take (to build) and

| | Is the Adobe CS3 software optimized for quad core processors? by
Luis Ortega
Are the new and upcoming Adobe CS3 product suites that include Premiere Pro,
After Effects, Flash, Photoshop Extended, etc., optimized to get
performance benefits from the Intel quad core cpus?
If not, would the core 2 duo processors be a better buy for performance with
these programs?
Thanks for any advice.

| | Exporting back to tape in HD - with Canon HV20 - help! by
John Hetherington
Hi - I just got Movie Plus 5 today - its seems fine - but I'm not clear
whether it will allow me to edit in HD and export back to my shiny new Canon
HD Camcorder the HV20. It picked up HD output OK - and I tried exporting
back - but no luck. The Manual p5 says "HDV files can be imported and
exported". On p24, which p5 references it says, Movie Plus includes a
capture module that can "import"...
