| Dave H wrote in message ... Digital Still --- Slide Anyone heard if it can be done? Simplest way, camera on tripod, slow shutter speed around 1/15th second, then photograph image on monitor. Other way, slightly *better* quality, save image as jpeg on a floppy, take to a good Pro-Lab and they'll make a slide for you. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Jessops would offer that service too. -- Trevor George, Bristol, UK. http://www.OnMyWindow.co.uk |

Simplest way, camera on tripod, slow shutter speed around 1/15th second, then photograph image on monitor. If you go down this route and you're using a modern film camera (SLR) which probably has fast exposure metering (certainly the EOS range), I'd recommend taking a reading and then using Manual exposure. I found that when I used Auto exposure the camera reacted to the rapid fluctuations in brightness caused by the scanning process. Some slides were fine, others were way out and being film I didn't learn about the mistakes until time deadlines were becoming very real. -- M Stewart Milton Keynes, UK www.megalith.freeserve.co.uk/oddimage.htm |

Yep, if you're using a digital still camera, and it uses a memory card (eg smartmedia), simply take the card to Jessops etc and they'll make slides directly from that. HTH -- Rob |
