| strange thing: my firewire-connection from my sony DSR-PD150P to my PC (AMD 2.6 ghz+, 256 MB ram, harddrive 7200 rpm) works fine when capturing. when printing to DV (using adobe premiere 6.5), or just playing back a clip on the sony-display, i get drop outs every couple of seconds. the display turn blue (no signal, i guess), and comes back a second later. could it be lack of computing-power on my PC? that would amaze me, since capturing video works so flawlessly. greetings jacqueline |

| In message , Paul writes Snipped.... Make sure you have shut down ALL. applications running in the backround........aditionally disconnect/switch off Any USB devices you may have connected..... .....If you read some of the past posts, you'll see that I had Lots of similar trouble..........tried everything, including trying different editing software.......eventually traced it to my cable modem connected Via USB.........even when Idle it would poll the port 1-2 times a minute and effect the firewire output........now I just unplug it when doing video work. There is a fix. It takes a little time and patience, but you only have to do it once.
