| Can anyone please help. I have a Sony Digital 8 (TRV240E) with DV in and out, Pinnacle Studio 7. I've captured and edited my movie. Now I would ideally like to make a SVCD. Which option do I choose to get the best quality possible. I have tried making the movie using the MPEG option but I wasn't impressed with the final quality, to be honest camcorder to VHS tape looked better quality. I thought digital was supposed to be crystal clear! OK maybe it is when I'm watching a tape through the camcorder hooked up to the TV but I would like to be able to make a SVCD to give to relatives. I would appreciate any help thrown this way. TIA Bev |

One alternative would be to output it as a high quality DV avi file and use a standalone package like TMPEGEnc to convert it. Go to http://www.dvdrhelp.com/ there is plenty of information on how to cgreate VCDs and other formats Jason I'm not sure about version 7, but from memory you can burn svcd's in version 8..........its essentially an mpeg2.......but I think you'll only get 20 mins of footage on a disk. |
