| Is there a program available which will let me split a large AVI file into more manageable parts? I have a 14gig file which I'd like to split into 3 or 4 smaller parts. Mike. |

One method uses VirtualDub, which I mentioned in another posting. Regards, Harry. |

| Is it possible to have such a large AVI. I was under the impression that there was a 2 or 4 Gig limit on avi files. | Hi there In response to your orginal question I do the same thing on a fairly regular basis and what I tend to do is use virtual dub to pull the audio out of the video and then re sync it with Tmpegenc and split it to what I need if there is a problem with the audio sync then virtual dub tells you how much its out and you can compensate for it later the only down side to this is that it saves them as mpeg files not tried as avi but then I need to blow them off to vcd so never trided avi let me know what happens if you try to save to avi. If you get stuck try www.dvdhelp.com and look newbie / converting avi they should be able to help always pulled me out the hole. Paul "F Proffitt" wrote in message ...
