Default Dropped in canal..help

Hi all
I have been lurking in this group, picking all your brains,as I am
completely new to digital camcorders.
Unfortunately before I really got started I fell into the canal with my
Canon MV530i.I managed to retrieve it from the bottom and have sent it

back,
luckily it is covered by a five year coverplan.
My question is , will they be able to repair it?If so should I accept I?

as
I'm sure it's life span will be greatly reduced.
Basically I want to pre arm myself with some details,as I never have much
luck with insurance, and just in case they try to fob me off.
any help would be appreciated
Thanks Leroy

Leroy,

I would read the terms and conditions of your cover. If you are covered
for accidental damage on your 5 year coverplan then I would push to receive
a replacement, rather than repair, no doubt repair is not an economical
proposition.

If you get no change from them try your household contents policy and see
what that covers.

Best of luck, we seem to share the same joy with insurance companies!!!

Peter
