| "Denise" wrote in message ... I have a Sony 510A writer but at the moment I'm making more coasters than DVD's. It seems to write ok to datawrite -RW but I'm having about a 50% failure rate with datawrite red -r . I tried copying the DVD made on the RW and although it said it had copied ok, it stops at one point and just doesn't go any further. This happened twice, using different copying progs and different speeds. I'm going to try a different brand of media before I have the drive checked so can anyone recommend a reliable make, available in the UK (and pref suppliers) thanks I also use the 510A and have had no problems to date with it. I have used Optodisc -R from www.ukdvdr.co.uk with no failures (£45 for a spindle of 50 inc vat and delivery). I have also used both TDK DVD+RW & TDK-RW, both with no failures. Tim |
