| From my research TestFreaks.co.uk looks quite useful for aggregating reviews from elsewhere. From what I can see the Panasonic SDR-S26 looks quite promising (about £181) but no sign of an external microphone hole. ?? Camcorders - SD Camcorders - SDR-S26 - Specification - UK & Ireland The Samsung VP-MX20 also looks quite promising (£132) but again no sign of any way of connecting an external microphone. designed to perform VP-MX20 - flash camcorder - camcorders | SAMSUNG Gads - don't most camcorder even allow external microphones? |

My rule of thumb is not to expect a mic input connector on any camcorder under US$500. Expecting high-end features like mic connectors on very low end camcorders is just fantasy. |
