| Has anyone had problems making Windows Media Center generate video DVDs? I've got Vista Home Premium SP1 which includes Media Center. I can record to dvr-ms format via my Pinnacle USB Freeview device. But when I try to write the files to video DVD, either using the built-in mechanism of Media Center or using the standalone DVD Maker app of Vista, it will get part of the way through the generation process and then fail with "Program has stopped responding". Occasionally I've managed to write a short program to DVD using DVD Maker, but more often than not it fails at about 30%, while it's still at the stage of generating the VOBs before writing them to DVD. By the way, has anyone else had the same problem with me concering the EPG of Media Center? It lists programmes for all channels except ITV1 and ITV2 - for those channels, it says "no programme information available". Could it be some sort of mismatch between the names of the channels as detected by scanning the Freeview multiplexes and the names of the channels available in the EPG? |
