Default Downloading video clips from BBC programmes

I am trying to download the following video clips from the BBC news
but I can't find a way to do it. Please, can any of the learned
members of this newsgroup help?

http://switchboard.real.com/player/e... amp%3Bct%3D50

and the second which is the same but from another source

http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/c...&nbram=1&asb=1

I imagine the BBC don't like people downloading their clips but there
has to be a way to do it!

If you can get your hands on a copy of 'Net Transport' which used to be free
it shouldn't be a problem.

BBC support real player and windows media streams. In either case real
player 11 http://uk.real.com/player/more should offer you the
"download this clip" button when you hover over the video.

It's recorded in a prorpietary 'ivr' format, but as long as you only
want to watch it in real player rather than edit it, that should work
fine.

Purely for test purposes, I downloaded that clip using Real Alternative and
Net Transport, the resulting video wound up in a file called
132600_16x9_bb.wmv which plays back perfectly.

Yeah, videolan or asfrecorder would work as well, but I didn't want to
confuse the user with complicated steps like combining 2 software
packages with lots of setup options to do the job of one ;-)
