I'm looking for good reviews of current consumer camcorders. I've Googled. but there seem to hit the same limited results each time. I'm looking to replace an ageing Panasonic, and whilst I'm not a pro, I do produce some good videos as a result of my editing, so would like a camcorder that is going to give me excellent qaulity footage but without a bundle of 'on-board' features I will never use. Good low light indoor recording would be a bonus! I have a budget of upto £350. Any good web sites out there that give unbiased, good reviews of basic camcorders? At which point I realise I didn't mention I want a Mini-DV camera with both in/out DV facilities. I'm not sure whether I want HD yet, is it too soon considering how little used HD is at the moment? What is HDV or is it the same as HD? Can you view HD video on a 'normal' TV? Seems I need more advice than I at first thought! Help! Trev says Are you sure you want a Mini DV and Not a DV that uses the standard size DV tapes. Trev, I think you'll find that mini-DV is the standard for consumer Camcorders. Doc |
