| I want to convert some asf files to Quicktime and don't want to pay a Shareware fee. Is there a freeware application that will do it? Or can Quicktime do this if you upgrade to Quicktime Pro? |

However if you're using a Mac - you didn't say - there's the Flip4Mac components available free. They can read the content, as a result QT Pro can export the ASF content to QT native. Flip4Mac as the name suggests, is Mac only - you can grab it from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...omponents.mspx In general, QT is worth paying the $25 or so even for occasional work, it's just a shame it's not available as part of the standard player or QT would see much greater market penetration IMO.
