| My Sony camera has failed, TRV19E, I suspect it's the optical sensor, Sony want the thick end of 200 quid for a fixed price repair and for that money I would rather buy a new camera. So can anyone*recommend someone in either Surrey or Essex who could fix it for a*reasonable price ? TIA. -- Cheers, Geoff. www.anoraks.uk.net |

No chance of getting parts off the scrapheap? ;o) There's been a recall of Sony equipment recently - not sure if yours will apply. It's something to do with operation in low or high temperatures. The link I got was: http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?p=37893 which includes the TRV19E but it's not on the link that Terry supplies. I'll ask him how he added that one to the list, but it's over a year ago. |

The page where you can see the CCD fault in action is: http://www.imaging-resource.com/NEWS/1128958202.html The page where you check your model is: http://www.css.ap.sony.com/usefulinf...Camcorder.html the TRV19E is under DCR-TRV. There's also a link to the support network on that page. |
