| Guys, I need an advice. I'm going to buy these lenses for my Canon GL2. http://stores.channeladvisor.com/sou...itemid=8393578 These lenses have adapters for all diameters including mine - 58 mm in GL2. But is it a perfect fit for this camcorder or not? Have anybody tried using these lenses? Made in Japan, cheaper and much more powerful than native ones from Canon. Dmitri |

| "Just D." wrote in message ... Guys, snip Dmitri, how many times are you going to ask the same question, changing the subject line isn't going to get you any more answers (indeed such behaviour might get you less), people will either be able to help you or not the first time around... Please don't be so impatient, remember that replying to Usenet is voluntary! :~) |

Dmitri Dmitri, I haven't used this particular brand but as always you get what you pay for. The Canon ones are far less likely to be subject to the kind of distortion and chromatic aberation you'll probably see with these lenses. The GL2 is a high quality fluorite lens which by all reviews I've seen is highly regarded. I think you would be completely underwhelmed by the quality of this $94 lens. Then again it depends on what you want to do with it. If you need it only for a couple of nice wide shots contained within a much larger segment of video, it's probably not going to be a real issue. If however if you intend to leave it stuck to the front - I wouldn't touch it with bargepole. |
