| "Tony Morgan" wrote in message ... In message , Quanta writes I used the powerpoint plug in with their codecs. You are grasping at straws buddy. I'm not, but you are displaying an ineptitude. PowerPoint does support video - but *only* video files (in PP Help the supported video files are listed). A Camtasia capture of (say) Premiere which includes a video window is a composite - and *not* a video file. It's the same with any video editor showing a video window. So naturally, trying to export anything other than a supported video file type via a PowerPoint codec will not work (for the non-supported video) - which is what you are trying to do. Do you have cognitive disfunction? I AM NOT CAPTURING VIDEO. I AM using the program as specified. I HAVE contacted tech support on this and received a reference that is useless. I HAVE a suite of computers and video processing systems. I AM using the Camtasia codecs. WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM???? Are you from Camtasia? If so, I will never work with the company again!!!!!!!@! |

| "Tony Morgan" wrote in message ... In message , Quanta writes It's so very easy to rubbish an application when it hasn't been used properly. The very fact that he tried to capture screen-displayed video suggests that he hasn't bothered to read the manual or any of Techsmith's tutorials or forums. It also appears that he hasn't even bothered to read what's written on the box :-) -- Tony Morgan WRONG. They acknowledge the limitation. Which limitation are you referring to? Care to give us a link? There's nothing in the manual. But then again, Techsmith have never ever claimed that Camtasia is a capture tool for displayed video windows - as I've suggested, just read what's on the box. If that is the case, they cannot capture the computer screen or powerpoint, can they? They cannot do what they claim at all. Video and animation ARE parts of webs, of screens, of powerpoint. |

Otherwise, one can use Windows Media Encoder. It works as well or better of simple mouse movements on a screen and goes directly to wmv. Free. |
