Default Ripping movie scenes from Mpegs and Avi`s

What kind of software would i need to be able to do this? If say for example
i wanted to take the end scenes from Star Wars and play it non its own? TIA

This is generally not a good pace to ask questions that involve copyright
infringement - it's how the flame wars start (they are a bit like the clone
wars - the same people slagging off the same victims with the same insults).
