| "16Xe Agg Card" wrote in message ... Anyone bought from Empire direct??? and what are they like? Bought a Panasonic TV from them a couple of years ago. Turned out to be faulty (rear speaker output not working) so I sent it back for replacement. Panasonic TVs have a "security" feature whereby you can record your name and postcode in the setup, in case the TV is recovered by the Police after a burglary. A year later some bloke wrote to me explaining that he had just bought a brand new Panasonic TV from Empire only to find my name and postcode recorded in the setup details. Empire swore blind to the other bloke that the TV was brand new and not refurbished or repaired, even though I still had the owner's manual with the serial number on it. Caveat Emptor. |
