The story I heard was that Sony's were delayed due to an earthquake near the
factory.

I my experience, it has affected the production as I've now had 3 TRV22's
from Jessops and they ALL suffered from horrible audio problems and have a
loud buzzing in the background during quiet scenes.

I've given up on the 22 and I'm going to try a 33 and if that's not right
I'm going to consider a TRV60 or a Panasonic GS70

My TRV22 has been fine. It seems to be a popular camera, which is probably
also effecting demand. For a around £500 it's pretty good value for money in
my opinion.

I figured I'd have to spend significantly more to get a better product.

I hope you cope better with the wait than I would!

Cheers
