Default vcd to dvd

We have some films on vcd that for some reason won't play on my daughters
dvd player (It says disk format not recognised) even though the player is
only a couple of months old. How can I copy them to dvd so she can see
them?

If this is the case then you might not be able to see them on a
DVD-R either.

A few more details, such as model numbers, media type etc might
help pin this down.

Regards,
Harry.

Check this link out it says that the DVD 108 should play most formats in
CD-r etc

http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers.p...&Search=Search

Perhaps the VCDs are not the correct standard.

Thanks. the dvd player is a ALBA DVD 108/B and the vcds are on white
datawrite cd's.
