Default Help: problem with Sony trv20e

I have a Sony TRV20E with an intermitent problem.

The camcorder stops working when you turn it on and one the error
codes...

C:31:30 or C:32:30

....is displayed in the view finder with the eject tape icon.

When I then try to open the tape compartment the tape is half ejected
and then stops. I can't get the tape out or close the camcorder up.

The only way to proceed is to play about with turning the unit off and
taking the battery out and then the machine either close up or opens
enough for me to get the tape out.

This is an old message in this NG but there was no answer.

Is there anyone with the same problem??

Thanks
Carlo
