Default Premiere 6.5 Export to MPEG

Hello there...

I'm having bother with the export to MPEG in prem 6.5...

....I'm using the Adobe MPEG encoder, and the VCD export is fin, but the SVCD
and DVD mpeg's come out with good sount, but horizontal lines across the
video, especially when there is sudden movement.

Can anyone suggest a fix or another decen mpeg encoder which is compatible
with prem 6.5?!

Thanks in advance,

Tom.

There is nothing wrong with the encoder. This is interlacing. finish
making the SVCD or DVD, and watch it on the TV. It will look fine.

And if you haven't already I suggest downloading one of the updates

(either 1.2
or 1.3b) to ensure you get the best output.

1.1 can show some nasty flickering on some material

Have you tried the adobe.premiere.mpegencoder.win newsgroup? There's
a guy who monitors it that works for company that does the encoding.
He's quite helpful.

His name is Mark R. Bailey. Email me if you can't get ahold of that
newsgroup.

There's no prob.
Apparantly the exprted SVCD Mpegs are supposed to look like that, when
played on a dvd player it's fine.
