| I've been using the trial of V4 (and 4.01) for about 3 weeks now and love it. It only does video capture, editing and export to files - It doesn't attempt any "Disk building" or burning like Studio 8 or the other low-end packages, but it does what it does very well. My other experience is with Pinnacle Studio 8, which worked for me, but EditStudio knocks the spots off of Studio for editing. The learning curve is a steeper than for Studio, as the effects and transitions are more programmable, so you may need to do a bit more rather than just paste in a transiton. I've already mastered moving picture-in-picture, "Star Wars" titles, and chroma-key (with the help of a blue tablecloth!), so I'm well chuffed. When the trial runs out, I shall be paying up! You can download the 30 day trial and try it for free, then decide later. Jim Day |
