Hi all,

My digital camcorder has fried its firewire port, and I ended up with lots
of video tapes, that were not transfered to DVD or PC yet.
My broken camcorder is TRV-740 with 1.07 megapixel CCD.
My question is: Do I get the full resolution of recorded material if I use
for transfer some cheaper model with 0.54 megapixel CCD ?

Best Regards
PawelS

The CCD has nothing what so ever to do with the tape deck part of the
camcorder, you need to check the spec of the 'VCR' part to answer your
question, the CCD is the optical collection device after the lens but
before any image processing in either cam(era) or (re)corder.
