| We are just about to ditch our TV (and TV licence) as we very rarely watch TV these days, to the point where our main TV has been broken for eight weeks and we haven't even been bothered to get it repaired. The kids do have a reasonable collection of pre-recorded VHS tapes, many of which actually belonged to my wife and are both old and not available on DVD. I would like to transfer these to DVD where possible and was looking for a video capture solution that will enable me to capture the tapes to hard disk at which point I'll master them back to DVD. Naturally VHS quality isn't that hot, and some of these tapes are really approaching the end of their watchable life. So I need video capture hardware (preferably USB) to help remaster them to DVD before they're lost forever. As these are pre-recorded tapes it's also worth mentioning I'll need something which can circumvent Macrovision protection. Regards, Jason. --- Replace nntp with my name to reply.
