Default Panasonic NVGS75B or Sony DCR-HC39E?

I am looking for a digital camcorder and like the look of both the
Panasonic NVGS75B and Sony DCR-HC39E.

Can you tell the difference with the 3CCD feature of the Panasonic or
does the sony's features have the edge?

I am not planning on doing anything too fancy with the camcorder, just
some family stuff, probably mostly exterior shots with a few interior shots.

I will be downloading to pc and editing then burning to DVD.

If anyone else has any other camcorder suggestions in the same price
bracket I would be very interested.

Many thanks, Jim.
