Default Program to create movies from stills

Hi All

Anyone know of a program that will convert digital time laps stills (JPEG)
to a movie format (avi, mpeg etc..) without loosing the quality or reduction
of picture size. The program I have at the moment only allows up to 200
photos at a time ( I have 850 in total) and it reduces the image size by a
quarter. Can anyone suggest a free program that I can download and use
without too much fuss?

Many thanks

Naveed

Quicktime Pro can do this. It's not free (but the $30 is well spent)

** And VirtualDub (I've just remembered) is free, and you can "Open
Video - Image Sequence" then set the fps to say 0.25fps. And Save-As
AVI or MPEG.

Now all you have to do is make sure the images are named with a
predicatable, sequential numbering system (same file stem but
different suffix in sequence order)

Or videomach, iirc, converts between all sorts of formats. I'm not
entirely sure whether the current version is free - used to be so for
private use.
