Default DVDit:Data exceeded multiplexable rate

Using Premiere 6.5 and DVDit to make a DVD+RW dis, I got the message:
data exceeded multiplexable bit rate. What can be done to solve this
problem?
Thanks and regards

I presume Premier has it's own MPEG encoder. Check if that has options to
produce a DVD complient MPEG2 file.

I have created other DVD with the same set up. So Premiere has its
ownMPEG2 set up. This one is of a length of one hour. Might that be
the problem?
Thanks for your help

DVD has it's own stricter MPEG2 standard. That's why DVD authoring software
can have problems with MPEG2 files created by general purpose video editors.
You need to render files to the stricter DVD standard, and a decent editor
should help by offering say low, medium or high DVD rendering. If you just
select MPEG2 you will be able to use bitrates that are too high for DVD.

If Adobe Premier dosn't do this you can always export as DV AVI and use an
external MPEG transcoder such as that from Mainconcept.
