Default Help identify digital camera.

Can anyone please help me to identify this camera please?
It's entirely unbranded but within it's limitations performs very well
indeed; I'm pretty sure that finding the exact right driver for it will
improve the images still further.
There's an image of it at

Thank you!

Marc.

Might be better to ask in the correct group, such as a photographic
group, as the name implies (and the charter states) this group is
about video...

uk.rec.photo.misc, might be a good place to start.

Try to do it for yourself - Use Irfan View and go for the information.
That should contain the Exif information which should give you the
make. The picture you have posted has been compressed for internet use
and therefore has lost the exif information.

Thanks for that, but I'm using Irfanview 3.51 and it doesn't reveal any EXIF
info about the image. When I loaded the images from the camera I saved them
as BMP's because they aren't lossy so if any info was there it wouldn't have
been lost. Perhaps you have an updated Irfanview beyond 3.51?
I wonder why the EXIF info doesn't show up when I put one of the BMP's from
this camera into my hex editor.
Anyway, thanks for your assistance.

Marc.

As I said, try asking in a photographic group and not in a video
group....

Thanks for that, it's a great link and just what I needed.
I'd like to know what search terms you put into Google to get that info to
come up; I put everything from 1024x768 and all the permutations of the lens
and aperture sizes etc into Google and got not a trace of it.
I wonder how many pics it'll hold at 1024x768?
Discovery!
Cheers,

Marc.
