Default HDMI to DVI-D ?

Does anybody know a DVD recorder that features a DVI-D output? My plasma
only has a DVI-D input.

Failing that, does anybody know if it is possible to convert from HDMI to
DVI-D? (Been looking at this lovely piece of Pioneer equipment
http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/product_...omy_id=62-125).

{Does anybody know of a better newsgroup to re-post this question other than
here?}

I think that one of the Pioneer DVDRs has DVI output. I may be wrong.

It is, and so in theory any HDMI output is DVI compatible. It is in
the other direction that the conversion doesn't work.

Presumably that will only work if the HDMI output is un-encrypted, unless
the DVI input supports HDCP though? May not be an issue for DVD replay, but
is likely to be for Sky HD apparently. (As well as Canal + HD in France who
are also likely to be HDCP HDMI output only though whether HDCP is only
enabled for some programmes who knows!)
