| I have an old Canon EX1 which has not been used for some time because there is a problem with the tape mechanism - play/record and eject are working intermittently. Is it really worth spending £200 to get this fixed and then try to sell the camera? I have no further use for it as I now have a new DV camcorder. Quality wise, the EX1 is a dead duck these days, even as a tape deck it's pointless as one can buy a brand new Hi8 camcorder for not much more than the repair cost. |

Bob I heard it was due to the electrolytic caps drying out. If they hadn't changed the lens mount I'd have bought an XL1 body and used the lenses on that. But they did change the mount, and I'm not going to get bitten twice. I'm looking for a semi-pro digi at the mo,but it sure won't be a Canon. |

So is this the only camera the lens will fit? --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
