Default DV Capture - which software?

Hi,

i need some DV software to capture the whole Tape (1h) to 1 CD-ROM, i am
using Vegas now to capture the Tapes, but the AVI needs lot of space!

Is there a way to capture the DV in good Quality and size to only 1 CD-ROM?
or have i to resize the screen to the crappy 320x288, what codec / software
should i use? (i want to capture in realtime)

Thanks, Mike.

You need just under 13GB of free disk space to capture an hour of DV video.
If you are short of disk space and your 1 hour tape consists of several
scenes then capture each scene individually and compress to VCD PAL format
(MPEG1 352 x 288) using something like TMPGEnc. Delete the DV capture file
before starting the capture for the next scene. After you have converted all
your scenes use Nero to burn a VCD using your MEPG1 files.

Once you've created the CD... what do you intend to watch it on?

I want to store the dv movies for later editing on cd-roms, i just found
windows movie maker 2, it is very good for me, it can capture 60mins of
movie as WMV in just 266 MB (640x480) in real time or about 350 MB in
720x576, the quality is good
