There is a little problem with my Sony PC350 camera. When I connect
USB then after about 20 seconds the computer freezes.

It could be either a computer problem, or a camera problem. Has anyone
else experienced this, and what might be the solution, other than to
send in the camera for repair?

What's your computer spec? CPU, memory, free disk-space and operating
system?

P4 2.8 GHz, 512 MB, XPH, lots of diskspace.

I reckon it's either the PC350 is faulty, or maybe a conflict in the
interrupt or port or something on the computer. There is already a
memory stick builtin to the computer and I think that uses USB, but
surely Sony would have thought of that.

I assume you ARE using firewire (iLink).

Use USB for memory-stick pictures, use iLink for video.

If you are indeed using iLink, then make sure you aren't running any
other programs (or background tasks). It's a good idea to run EndItAll
before doing any video work.

If still having problems, disconnect any unused USB connections - the
load imposed by these can sometimes pull down the PCI power rail, and
cause problems with the firewire card.
