| my XL1s has developed a problem when I put a tape in the camera that is not at the end of the tape I get a error eject tape, this seems to be a common problem on Canon cameras but no one seems to say what the cure is I have cleaned the heads and whilst this has made a very slight difference it certainly does not cure the problem, which seems to get worse when the camera get hotter, I don't get the problem when I insert the tape at the start where there is no magnetic material!, and the camera seems to record and playback without any problems, however it also seems to be a problem when I try to rewind. it not a major problem as I rewind the tape in a little rewind box and capture the whole tape to AVID before I edit, but it's a real pain if I need to recapture a section from the tape for some reason. This problem is not associated with the tape as I have tried many different tapes new and old and of different makes, it also does the same thing with the cleaning tape, anyone know of a good UK service company where I can get it fixed, I don't want to go to Canon UK as they don't have a good record. |
