Default Buying a Camcorder?

For those about to buy a camcorder, there are two currently for sale on
Ebay. Both are Sony DCR-TRV30E models. One has 9 hours to close in the
auction, and is currently bidding at £212, the other is "Neuwertig"
("like new" in German) with 22 hours to go until close, and is currently
bidding at £225. This latter camcorder comes with a nice-looking
aluminium "suitcase" box with foam packing with cut-outs for all the
bits and pieces.

I've owned a DCR-TRV30E for more than two years and have been very
pleased with it (it's still going strong after fairly heavy use). The
DCR-TRV30E is very close functionally to the current top-of-the HC
range, the DCR-HC85, but without the touch screen (which IMHO is not as
good as the toggle turn-and-press operation of earlier models).

I have, incidentally, just bought (on Ebay) a "nearly new" Sony
DCR-TRV60 for £379. Functionally very similar to the DCR-HC85 but with a
2.5" LCD instead of the 3.5" LCD of the HC85. Nothing wrong with my
TRV30e, but I am in need of a second camcorder. If I hadn't been able to
get the TRV60 I'd have been bidding on one or other of the TRV-30Es.

I have a TRV60 which i find is good enough for me & my limited abilities.
Seems to take reasonable quality stills to on the Mem Stick.
