Hi, thinking of purchasing the Shuttle SB61 G2 P4 version for editing DV
clips.

Has anyone had any experience with these?

Proposed spec
2.6 GH 800 FSB
512 DDR 400
160 Gb hard drive
ATI 9600 pro
Windows XP

Cheeers

Pete

I've used a Shuttle SG-51(I think is the model IIRC) and it's been
great. nice and quiet, using it with a 60Gb seagate system drive, 250Gb
Lacie firewire drive, 768Mb RAM and a 2.5Gh P4 and a Matrox G550.
Only bad thing to say about it really is the 1 PCI slot you are stuck
with. This is obviously going to be a problem with such small form
factors anyway though.

Did have a funny thing where it wouldn't boot with a USB device plugged
in the front, dunno what that was about but no big problem anyhow.

If you can spare the space it might be wiser to go with a midi tower for
upgradeabilities sake especially as IDE harddrives are much cheaper than
external ones.
