Default suggestions for camera light

I'm thinking about getting a light for my Canon MV630i,
my question is,1. which one and how much should i expect to pay, bearing in
mind i'm new to this,i don't want to spend much.
2.will it make much difference, considering the make of camera.

What ever you get, if you plain to be portable, budget for either a bigger
capacity camera battery or better still a separate battery for the light.
